Washington Sexual Assault Awareness Month 2012!

This year's campaign, Voices. Actions. Communities. Ending Sexual Violence, reflects the movement towards creating change in your community by sharing stories of action.

This year we are excited to release short, fun, and easy-to-use video spots that contain voices from here in Washington state! These videos can help encourage communities to take a part in ending sexual violence by hearing real stories and encouraging them to share their stories of action in their own communities. Washingtonians will share stories that break the myth that sexual violence doesn't happen in every community and will also shed light on how folks are acting as bystanders, making personal choices to shift norms, and taking an active part by being the solution!

Washington Sexual Assault Awareness Month 2012!

The month of April has been designated Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). The goal of SAAM is to raise public awareness about sexual violence and to educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual violence.

Be the Solution is the Sexual Assault Awareness Month Campaign supported by Washington Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs, which is made up of service providers, organizations, and individuals across the state of Washington.
